Outstanding Recoil Spring Design

In my opinion, the "Glock Factory Gen 4 Recoil Spring" (17lbs.) for the Glock 17 is an outstanding design. The double spring design is durable and provides consistent operation of the slide assembly with medium to high powder charge loads. Even after 7,000+ rounds holds it's configuration. The only reason I replaced the original recoil spring was due to damage (bent) caused by a second party when they were installing the slide assembly incorrectly.
