Paddle Lite Holster for Glock 21 Gen2 with modification for Holosun RedDot
by ewe45
This is a good paddle holster for the price point. To allow the snap to seat properly with a Glock 21 equipped with a RedDot sight, I simply cut away about a 1/4" wide strip of the leather at the back end of the top side of the holster (where the RedDot would face) using a sharp X-Acto modeler's knife (anybody remember those?). The leather is thin, single layer but rugged, so the knife must be sharp but it works like a champ.
NOTE: THIS IS THE *ONLY* ITEM THAT THAT I COULD FIND *ANYWHERE, OF ANY BRAND, ON ANY WEBSITE* (and I searched the internet for over 2 hours) THAT IS:
(1) A PADDLE HOLSTER, AND
(2) SECURES THE WEAPON WITH A WITH A BACKSTRAP, AND
(3) FITS A GLOCK 21 THAT COULD BE *EASILY* MODIFIED TO ACCOMMODATE A RED DOT OPTICAL SIGHT.
This holster is a Galco PDL 2288 F19L but on Galco's website it's $44 plus shipping. The GlockStore website has it for $39.95 (and it was even in-stock at the SD store -- no shipping charges).
Well played, Glock Store, well played!
