This came with a direction to install (the direction is intended for 'no backstrap': so don't forget to take off the backstrap before installing the plug, and reinstall the backstrap right after, before installing the magwell). Screws are tight and worked well, as intended. Once fully installed, the magwell is solid. The plastic layer makes reloading very smooth (and soft to the mag followers) and the aluminum 'shell' adds to its robustness. Yet another superb product from Dawson. I recently purchased this magwell . I am very happy with the purchase. I use it with a medium beavertail backstrap. The combination of both items forces your hand to be in proper position upon drawing / gripping the firearm. This item is perfect for the Glock 17 . It's also makes changing magazines a breeze . Guides the magazine perfectly until the palm of your hand hits the bottom of the Magwell. The custom silver aluminum look has been well received by many compliments. Looking forward to getting a matching pin setup .
