The ORS Optic cut that comes standard on Gen6 Glocks uses a plastic plate "crush washer" system to mount your optic. The problem is that your optic sits about as high as the MOS cut, and the plastic plate doesn't act as a solid recoil boss.
Many companies, including us, developed metal plates to better fit the cutout, but to our surprise the tolerances from Glock to Glock are all over the place, causing tolerance stacking and fitment issues that are hard to account for on a mass scale.
We now offer a 10-day Direct Mount optic cut service that sits lower, and eliminates the need for adapter plates for RMR, DPP, and RMSc footprint optics on Gen6 Glocks.
The Direct Mount Gen6 Optic Cut Service has cutouts in the front and rear to accept posts that lock the optic into place, just like the RXM cutout. Use the standard RMR, DPP or RMSc Screws to mount your optic like normal.
We precision cut and mill your slide, then protect the bare metal with a Cold Blue coating.
Each cut comes with 4 removable recoil bosses for RMR, DPP, and RMSc/K footprint optics.
We’ve also tap four holes in the slide to accommodate two plates that allow you to directly attach an Aimpoint ACRO—or similarly mounted optics—to the slide, resulting in the lowest Aimpoint ACRO mounting on the market. These plates will be available for shipping soon.
