My Original

by

So without too much fan boy fanfare I started research into my first firearm with a Springfield XD service Model. But when I showed up to the Gunstore I realized there where alot of options. An OD Gen 3 G21 made it's way into my hand and I fell in love but did not buy just yet. Though my first pistol (by simply first Signature of the three, the other two being a G17 and G22 gen 3) this older non-sf gen3 made it's way home in black. Dry firing quickly confirmed the Tungsten guide rod brought it to my preference and at the time Sig just wasn't offering enough or cheap enough. 2.5k rds later it remains my favorite pistol, probably my favorite firearm. For me it is the simple get it done, designed right not upscale or other models down scaled from has always been why I chose and continue to prefer Glock. Tungsten rod balences out lighter magazine loads and makes my drills consistent.

I've bought two of these. If you don't run the cheap ammo you'll never be disappointed

The Ultimate .45

by

To me, it doesn't get any better. It is my opinion that the Glock 21 is the ultimate .45. While it is slightly overbuilt, (same frame as the Glock 20 in 10mm), this isn't necessarily a bad thing. The extra beef means that you can put full house ammo through it all day long. The length isn't necessarily a problem for concealed carry, and with the proper holster system you can carry it all day without great discomfort. Believe me. I have and it's not that big of a problem. The smaller you get in .45, the more the gun jumps and the less accuracy and stability you have at hand. Any larger and it does, at least for me, become a concealed carry issue. I plan to buy another with the next paycheck. And, after 27 years of carrying concealed, the .45 is still the best stopper and the Glock is still the best handgun system that I can think of. This is a WELL worthwhile investment for defensive carry. Hope this helps.

To Reiterate

by

Just bought my second Glock 21. This gun is much easier to carry than one might expect. It weighs less that a 1911 and holds more ammo. With the proper holster, it can be easily concealed. This is serious food for thought. The smaller the pistol, the more jump. This leads to a control issue that can be solved by a larger gun that can dampen the recoil and contribute to accuracy. Hope this helps.

AWESOME GUN

Upon Reflection

by

Having carried my 21 for a couple of weeks on a daily basis, I have come to realize that it isn't the problem that many would say that it is. At 28.26 ounces it is approximately 11 ounces lighter than a full size 1911, and about 8 ounces lighter than a Commander. It also carries more ammo. I bought a belt holster for it and with a good belt, I have gotten to the point that I don't feel any tugging or pulling, and I don't have to keep hitching up my pants all day long. While it is a large handgun, it is very well balanced and fills my hand nicely with a modular grip extension. Also, to reiterate, it is slightly overbuilt( same frame as the 20 in 10mm), but this isn't so bad when you realize that it can chew up and spit out +p ammo without a hitch.

So. If you're considering the 21 as a concealed carry gun,it's not bad at all. Just get a good holster and belt. Hope this helps.

Great weapon

by

I've had my Glock 21 for 3 years, put 1,300 rounds through it with absolutely no problems. Got the tungsten guide rod assembly, a machined slide stop lever and a clip for sliding it onto my belt in the small of my back. I have a Colt 1911 and while it is a nice shooter, the Glock is my favorite. It breaks down much easier than a 1911. You must be careful carrying one in the chamber, though. I got my finger on the trigger once while putting in the belt and had I had one in the chamber I may have blown my ass off. I practice pulling it out and am confident in my ability to quickly rack one in.

Glock 21

Worth every penny, never a regret buying but hey it is a Glock so what else needs saying, I love the people who spend 400 more then knock the Glock when the Glock outperforms the higher dollar ones every time This 45 is flawless and performs that way every time

Best 45

You can conceal carry this easy. I conceal carry mine which also has a viridian laser and the +2 Pierce extensions. KT me how and Dara make fine holsters and so does stealth gear . The stealth gear makes a great in pants holster.

I purchased my Glock 21sf about a year ago and have put a lot of rounds through it. I love this gun and highly recommend! This gun does not fail or quit. Its my everyday carry currently.

Just feels like a BIG thud.

Great gun with not much recoil. Chewed thru everything in first session. In cleaning in some gen 4s after safety check, you have to point down, pull trigger, pull side tabs, pull slide off. Firing pin is forward and has to be to put slide back on. Countless of Glock owners with same issue. Must deal with internal safety mechanics. Just wish it was in manual or someone told me. No big deal. Great gun with accuracy and reliability.

Big thud continued.....

I do want to point out what an awesome gun this is. The slide assembly is a mute point. Some guns need a key, some have a switch, and some have levers. It does have a thick slide in relative terms compared other models but is a .45. The weight definitely absorbed the rounds. It feels a touch heavier than the 19. The trigger pull was typical for glock but it is smooth with a nice click and reset. It was very fun to shoot. Big bullets, big sound but easy to hold on target and re-aquire my target. Again, awesome gun. You won't be disappointed.

The Glock 21, the best carry pistol.

I own and carry my G21 gen 4 daily, I've never had a glitch with mine, has always been an accurate shooter. If you're on the fence thinking about it, buy it, you'll have no regrets. I love the fact that it's 13 +1 and I carry an extra magazine just in case, as it's better to have and not need, than to need and not have.

The most accurate pistol I own. Manageable recoil, extremely reliable and easy to operate.
