The Glock Factory Extended Slide Stop Lever is a little longer than the standard piece and provides better leverage, easier access, and the ability to maintain the same grip when accessing this lever.

This is a factory Glock extended slide stop lever with a larger surface area that allows the shooter to maintain a better grip when releasing the slide at increased speeds. There is no need to change hand, eye, or head position — due to the feel of the lever. The Glock Extended Slide Stop Lever also reduces recovery time for both strong and weak hands.

How do I determine the right part?
There are two different models for the Extended Slide Stop Lever. One is for Glock models manufactured before 2002 and the other is for Glock models manufactured after 2002. Basically, if your Glock has one pin above the trigger, it was manufactured before 2002, if your Glock has two pins above the trigger, it was manufactured after 2002.

Pay special attention to the "spike limiter" located just above the trigger pin hole. Slide Stop Levers with the "spike limiter" will only fit in Glocks with one pin above the trigger, which were manufactured before 2002.

Please double-check to ensure you've selected the appropriate slide stop lever for your Glock.

Functional, but caused problems based on my handgun grip and hand size

Good:
-quality materials
-quality finish
-additional length makes manipulation of slide release easier

Bad:
-makes the slide release pin incredibly difficult to remove compared to the factory slide release
-makes it easy to unintentionally hold the slide release in the downward position, causing the slide not to lock back upon firing the final round

I didn't purchase this out of necessity. I really just wanted to try it out for fun.

Overall I would say this is a good product, but for me personally it just doesn't fit the bill. With my Glock 19, when I'm using the proper grip, the pad of my dominant hand thumb contacts the frame right behind the factory slide release. But, when I put this extended version on, my thumb naturally falls onto the slide stop and can potentially hold it down instead of letting it move freely. It's an issue that could be trained around by modifying my grip, but I'd rather the problem not exist in the first place.

Awesome upgrade, plus a helpful tip for 20/29 owners

Love these slide stop levers. Have them on all my glocks and will continue to buy them in the future. Also, if you have a 20 or 29 gen 4. You need the 20sf/29sf slide stop lever. The regular 20/29 does not function properly on the gen 4 models (found out myself)

Simple release

I found the stock one just too small, short, and wussy. Thought this would be much better. It is better, no question about it. But if you are expecting some sort of slide release that hangs out there with much larger and robust construction, this ain’t it. It is slightly extended and does work a bit better, that’s it. It was not designed to be more, I’m sure. Simple, low profile, works, but not robust or sexy in any way.

Excellent Product!!

I just installed the Glock Factory Extended Slide Stop I received from Glock Store in my new Glock 19 Gen 3. I love it! I have older hands, and the stock release was a bit more difficult to manipulate. Especially when my hand would sweat and would make it more difficult when releasing or locking the slide. The Glock Factory Extended Slide Release took it to a totally different level. It made it so much easier to lock and release the slide with my old thumb. It installed in minutes. I couldn't happier! Thank you GLOCKSTORE!

GLOCK EXTENDED SLIDE STOP LEVER

WOW , EXCELLENT…. LOVE IT!!! It made a big difference for me, I have small hands. That extra tip and extension helps a lot. Easy to release and easy to install, and thanks to Mr Magill Glock YouTube installation video, my husband was impressed! All thanks to his videos that are awesome, I highly recommend to watch them all pretending to your G and sure gave me more confidence to change out a few more pieces on my G19.
