AWESOME PRODUCT, however can be confusing to novices trying to enter the NV WORLD

I have this and LOVE IT. But besides that compliment I need guidance re night vision. Initially I believed, get a ir laser, get a device that is ‘night vision compatible’ and the optic would allow you to see the ir laser, in my case a ir laser produced by a Steiner dbal a3. Nope, that dog won’t hunt.
So I spent $1500 for Steiner and $500 on this Leupold expecting that combo to work together. Dang! Lol. What else do i need, specifically. And I really don’t want to wear a helmet and Google’s.... help, pls.
Works exactly as expected.

Works great as an offset for an LPVO/ACOG.
To clarify: If an optic is "Night Vision Compatible" it means that the reticle can be dimmed enough that it can be seen clearly under NODs, rather than being washed out due to excessive brightness.
In order to actually use an IR designator like the other reviewer desired, you would need an actual night vision device, such as a PVS-14.
