Upgrade 2: Extended Controls
Now when it comes to quality of life, there are certainly a few things the Glock can improve on. For some people, that Slide Stop is a little too flat, the Magazine Release is a little too short, and of course there’s that aforementioned Slide Lock/Takedown Lever. That’s why we recommend upgrading to Extended Controls, like the ones in our Metallic Pin & Extended Controls Kit, and one of our Extended Magazine Releases.
Like the Slide Lock, having an Extended Slide Stop Lever and an Extended Magazine Release serve several purposes. That quality of life we were talking about? Now all those parts are not only easier to reach, but easier to press. No more adjusting your grip to reach your Magazine Release and drop that empty mag. No more trying to find an angle where you can get enough of your thumb on the Slide Stop Lever to push it down and send your slide back into battery. Whether you’re trying to save some stress on the range, or seconds in a competition, a set of extended controls is a must.
