The G40 Gen 4 is a practical tactical 10mm caliber pistol designed with the superior engineering of GLOCK to maximize sight radius while improving weight distribution and balance. The longer barrel and slide help to reduce muzzle flip and felt recoil while the longer sight radius provides more accuracy for competition or duty use.

Glock 40 - My favorite handgun

Awsome gun. Highly accurate. A pleasure to shoot. Recoil is very manageable, less recoil than my .357 SIG sp2340. It has become my favorite carry piece.
Yes you can carry it! I carry it with either a Galco Jackass glock 21 shoulder rig (the longer barrel is no problem-it just sticks out the holster a bit) or I simply carry it with a IWB custom kydex holster.

Another winner for Glock

Fabulous shooter. Purchased yesterday put 250 rounds through it and was very accurate. Virtually no felt recoil and pistol comes back to target easily after firing. If one is looking for a pistol to carry in the field while hunting a great option with fantastic stopping power. Glock has another winner

My favorite - exceptional, awesome - words don't do it justice.

You won't be able to appreciate this Glock 40 - 10mm with M.O.S. until you shoot it.
It is that awesome! Bullet velocity ranges between around 1,200-2500 FPS depending on manufacturer. Comparing the size of the bullet impact at 100 feet between the 10mm and Glock 45acp is amazing. The 45 has a grey ring about 1 inch in diameter while the 10mm is easily twice that size. The difference in kinetic energy is also quite remarkable which is easily observable when hitting my metal targets. The sound, the degree of movement of steel plate is remarkable. The metal 5 inch circle metal target has even greater degrees in movement and sound. The recoil of my 10mm is straight back so I can acquire the target and keep shooting nearly as fast as I can pull the trigger.
