An Amazing Concept!!
by GlockAddict
This is the best defensive choice that I could have made in a handgun. It is compact so that it can go almost anywhere, and the .45 is is THEE proven fight stopper. It does jump when fired as should be expected, but a tight grip and some range practice can alleviate a lot of that. If you don't mind a little muzzle jump, this is an excellent defensive handgun.
Hope this helps.
Epitome of Concealed Carry
by Armagh
Buy one, send the slide to the Glock Store for the Predator cut, have the barrel done with titanium nitride, install all the extended controls available, a tungsten guide rod, a Pyramid trigger, get a couple of magazine extensions and you have what is, in my mind, the ultimate carry weapon.
Carry inside the waistband and you can go out in the heat of summer in shorts and a t-shirt without printing. With a light jacket or sweater in fall/winter, it's invisible. With one round in the chamber and seven in the mag (with the +1 extension) you've got 8 rounds of .45 acp at your disposal, which is easily enough to deal with any critical incident.
Don't get me wrong, I love my G43, and now that I've had the trigger on my Springfield XD 45 tuned up, I like it fine. But the G36 epitomizes what a concealed carry weapon should be.
An extremely underrated Glock!
by Brian J.
I'm my opinion, this is one of the most underrated Glock models. As a .45 ACP enthusiast this is a great CC option. I equipped my G36 with a set of Glock night sights, 3.5lb trigger bar, aftermarket trigger, and a Pearce +0 grip extension. It has surprisingly little recoil.
Now that the frame comes with the ability to mount a light or laser I would expect this model to gain more popularity.
I hope Glock continues to update the G36 and expand their single stack lines with the growing success of the G42 and G43.

Great EDC weapon
by Old Griz
I bought a Glock 36 when they first hit the market to replace my back up gun (SW640).
I was so impressed with it that it became EDC concealed weapon while my G21 retired and the 640 still clung to my ankle.
I screwed up and got rid of both over the years and kick myself to this day.
Buy it!!

I was an undercover detective for nearly 30 yrs, just before my retirement, I bought a Glock 36, I've had her over 20 yrs, in all that time not one malfunction. The Glock 36 is a smooth, powerful, simple & reliable self defense weapon. Shooters with recoil issues are novices who need a little practice. They'll grow to love this sidearm as well. Easy to disassemble for cleaning (needed every 400+ rds or so). It's the perfect all around self defense pistol
Exceptional Daily Carry Firearm
by DJS
I purchased my Glock 36 over 5 years ago and was pleased on how well it shot. For a .45 ACP with just over a 3½" barrel, recoil is very manageable. Surprising accuracy out to 15 yards, definitely for close quarters defense. Standard Glock trigger with average slack and decent trigger reset. With standard sights, acquiring sight alignment is very good. I have installed +1 extensions on my magazines giving me 7+1 rounds. While owning comparable size pistols, the weight and fire power of this pistol can not be beat. The Glock 36 continues to be my daily carry as I have not found anything better for concealed carry. Being a Glock, it's dependable and I am confident in defending myself with it if needed.

The Ultimate Pack / Wilderness Gun
by Josh Singleton
Been carrying mine for years into the wilderness of Idaho, Utah, Montana. Put on 3 lb trigger, Laser-Max laser, Trijicon night sights. I handloaded 230 hardball to 5" barrel specs (860fps) that stayed within pressure recommendations. It whacks you, sure, but I find the potential comforting vs man or bear.
