Double Diamond Extended Slide Stop for G42/43/43X/48

I received mine yesterday. I am a lefty, so I sometimes use my trigger finger in place of a righty shooter's thumb. This was fast install & there is a "bump" at rear, facilitates ease of manipulation. This is my 2nd Double Diamond item from Glock Store. 110% satisfied. Their customer services are great on the phone if you have a question.

I got this extended slide stop along with the G42/43 DD 3.5 connector. Install was simple, Lenny’s video has a nice trick for the locking block. Much nicer to use then the stock slide stop. No more fighting the slide stop, just one quick flick.

This extended slide stop is among the available aftermarket options that look most like the Glock factory version for the non-pocket models. It works as advertised, and the cost is reasonable. The only minor gripe I have is that, the trigger pin hole looks like oversized, to the point that the material around the hole is very thin, compared to G43 original slide stop. Compared to the original, it seems that they just didn't design it to provide enough metal around that hole.

Looks and feels as close to factory as I've seen with any after-market part. I noticed the hole is cut extremely close to the bottom, so I won't be too surprised if/when it snaps.

I bought this as an upgrade for a custom build. It works well as advertised, my only issue is the color. I purchased silver to match the other silver features on the pistol. The slide, trigger, extended mag release and extended slide lock were all matching bright silver. This silver is more of a dull pewter that doesn't even come close to matching the others.

Extended slide stop was easy to install, and works great with Glock OEM magazines. However, the metal lip that interacts with the follower is not the same shape or size as that found on the OEM slide stop. It is noticeably smaller and thus will not interact properly to lock the slide back consistently with some aftermarket magazines, notably the Shield Arms S15 magazine. Since using the 15 round magazines is more important to me than an extended slide stop, I put the OEM slide stop back on my pistol. If Double Diamond releases a slide stop that has a follower lip that is closer to the shape and contour of the OEM slide stop, I will revisit this product.

Bought this one first but was taking a while due to Covid to receive so I went and purchased ext slide release from Tyrant, was not happy slide would not load ammo into battery without me having to pull the slide by hand, finally received the double diamond ext slide release and works like a charm just as good as oem part and looks good too, great machining, worth the wait

I like this extended slide stop a lot. I always had hard time releasing slide or locking slide back. The bump on it makes it easier to use without getting in the way. Plus looks good lol

Easy to install (with the video). Major improvement for my wife’s Glock. Definitely helps with weak thumbs.

Works much better than the stock 43X release but not as comfortable as a Glock 19 extended slide stop. The nub is very small and can hurt your thumb when doing practice training sessions. More surface area on the nub would be helpful, like on the Glock 19 extended release design.

Near perfection with one flaw.
The lip that engages with the follower of an empty magazine has been raised a millimeter or so compared to the OEM slide release.
This causes the slide release to partially engage with the follower, rasing the slide release only partially and provides very inconsistent slide lock on an empty magazine.
More than 50% of the time the slide will simply skip over the slide release with an empty magazine.
This problem only worsens as material is shaved off the thumb portion of the slide release evey time the slide skips overs the release.
This occurs with both OEM magazines and after market magazines.
I'm unsure what the engineering reason is behind raising this lip but it would be nice if they kept the same depth as the OEM slide release.
With that being said, it may work for you.

The moment I put in the Double Diamond slide stop I was immediately impressed with this product I have big hands and its always been a little difficult for me to release the slides on my Glocks. But this product made that 100% easier. Would definitely recommend to all Glock owners to invest in one.

Lever worked well after I swapped the spring from the OE over to the new one, problem I had was the slide would lock open on the last round. In comparing the two springs the OE was more stiff compared to the one supplied with the new slide lock lever

I love this product, but as another reviewer stated, it does not work with the Gen 3 Sheild Arms S15 mags. I really hope that a product comes out that does, as I need this one.

Bought this to replace a bad oem slide stop where the spring kept expanding past the capture points. I never was a fan of the tiny slick slide stop on the 43X so it was a no brainer replacing it with this. Always felt it might be a problem if I ever had to manipulate it under stress. The only issue I had on install was that the extended button was bent inward too much, binding on the frame and wouldn't release the slide when pushed. Bending it outward very slightly fixed the issue. Dunno if it was just a fluke from the factory but now it works great. The added button makes it much easier to use when reloading. Shoulda done this a long time ago.
