The GlockStore Heavy Tungsten Guide Rod is the most popular upgrade for Glock owners worldwide. It's an easy, drop in part that is 5x heavier than the factory plastic part and 3x heavier than our Stainless Steel Guide Rod.

You'll find that you will shoot faster and more accurately with our Tungsten Guide Rod installed. The increased weight of the rod helps reduce felt-recoil and muzzle flip enabling you to keep your sights aligned and shoot tighter groups in faster times.

A high quality, American made spring included and captured on the Tungsten Guide Rod as pictured. You simply drop it in and replace the factory plastic rod in seconds! We suggest you order the factory weight spring for most general shooting.

Factory Weight Spring is 17lbs for the following Gen 1, 2, 3 Glocks:
G17, 20, 21, 20SF, 21SF, 22, 31, 34, 35

Factory Weight Spring is 18lbs for the following Gen 1, 2, 3 Glocks:

The Factory Weight Springs are designed to shoot and function with almost all commercially available ammunition.

If you are shooting a compensator or suppressor you would select a lighter weight spring to assist with cycling.

If you are shooting high velocity hand loaded ammunition you would select the heavier spring weight.

Advanced shooters know that to get the most out of their gun, shooting style, and ammunition combination, they need to test different spring weights for their guide rod assembly. You can actually "tune" the spring to your shooting cadence to allow you to shoot faster and more accurately because the gun action works with you and your ammunition. These are drop-in, high quality tungsten guide rods with captured springs in 5 different weights for your full-size guns and 4 different weights for the mid-size guns.

Senior citizens and those with less strength and physical disabilities will find that the lighter spring weights are much easier to manipulate and work the slide for loading and unloading procedure. For example, many of our customers with arthritis utilize a lighter spring weight.

On the other side of that, if you are shooting very heavy loads for hunting or self-defense, you may want to experiment with heavier spring weights.

Made in the USA by people who own and appreciate firearms!

Please read before calling:

If you are not hand loading your ammunition, or shooting notably light, or hot loads from the factory, it is advised you stay with the factory spring weight for your Glock. A lesser weight spring can be used with low power loads, vice versa with high power loads.

These guide rods will not function in sub-compact Glocks (i.e., Glocks 26, 27, 30, etc.). Those weapons utilize a dual spring guide rod system that can be found here.

To use these Gen 3 guide rods in your Gen 4 Glock, you will need the Gen4 Recoil Assembly Adaptor Ring - SKU #1113.

Bought 18lbs. for my G19 gen 3 really help me improve my shooting

Guide Road

by

I boded a Tungsten guide rod of 15 lb for my RMR slide with a PSA Dagger frame. A Tungsten guide road is better than a DPM System Technologies guide road. Easy to operate and price a little bit better. It is much better than the OEM Guide Road Clock 19 Gen 3.

20lb Spring chewed through random AMMO no prob, get slide racker

by

G19 Gen3 Tungsten Guide Rod w/20lb Spring. Thought the heavy spring may be too much for various ammo, but powered through a mag of random 147g, 124g, 94g, 115g with no issues. TangoDown Slide Racker helps with the pull for sure. TLR-7a light seems to help with the weight and flip. Not a great shot w/ Glocks, but seems to help. 17lb Spring may be more of an OEM option.
