Heavy Tungsten Guide Rod for Gen1, 2, 3 Glocks

Works great have had no problems. Got my parts yesterday 2 days sooner than expected. Put parts in my polymer 80 took it out and it shoot great.

I think this is a must have for any Glock. It's a drop in part anyone could install and adds a bit of weight to the gun as well durability.

15 lb spring is perfect (for me)

As a LEO of 22 years, I was looking for something that would help me rapid fire on target more reliably. With our duty weapon, the Glock 19, even though the recoil isn't bad I noticed that it took me a little too much time to put the sights back on target after a round (especially from 15 yards or more). Not long, but still, fractions of a second can make all the difference. The heavy tungsten gives my firearm exactly the weight, recoil and quick sights on target that I've been wishing for.

I bought the 17lb. spring and you can the the quality and it works great

Purchased a 22 pound recoil spring. Put about 200 rounds through my Glock 19 Gen 3. No complaints.

Got the 15lb for my Gen 3 17 and it really helped tighten my group

I just received the new tungsten guide rod and recoil spring in the mail yesterday, 6/3/19. I was going to buy the same tungsten set up for my glock 26 gen 5 but I was skeptical about if I would notice any difference being that I am a beginner. So I didn't not make the purchase. The next day I went to the range to test out the tungsten set up with my polymer 80 build g17 and what a difference. I sure did notice a change when firing my weapon, I put 200 rounds through it. I will definitely purchase the tungsten guide rod and recoil assembly for my glock 26 gen 5 asap. Thank you glock store. Lenny helped seal the deal with his awesome videos.

When putting this next to the Glock provided guide rod you can see the quality difference. I can't tell the difference in feel but I do believe this guide rod will never be the focus of a yet to come future firing issue. It's solid.

I am very pleased with my purchase! The build quality is top-notch! You can immediately feel the weight difference between the tungsten guide rod and the plastic unit supplied by the factory. Fitment is predictably snug, but exactly to spec. Yes, I would order this tungsten guide rod again - first gun mod, I think.

A great addition to my Glock 19. The most amazing thing that happened was how smooth the slide racks. Previously I had a stainless steel rod that was a vast improvement over the plastic one,but it was not too smooth and seemed to drag when it was racked. Not any more! Highly recommend this heavy tungsten rod!

Greatly smoothed racking the slide and adding a little weight is a plus. My P80 works and shoots great. I had hang ups with the plastic rod but no problems with this one . I am using a 15 lb. which works great with my reloads. Worth every penny and I highly recommend this guide rod assembly.

The minute I picked up the 21 after replacing the factory rod and spring it was noticed. The recoil is far less dramatic and getting back on target faster is no joke. If you own a Glock this is the number 1 upgrade to get.

Recived my Tungsten guide rod for my G19 gen3 looked realy cool , was easy to install it, I did try shooting after felt easyer didn't have lift so much or wandering with recoil I did a lot better with this Guide like it very much must have. A+

A must in my glock G19 and G23 Changed with Titanium Coated gold parts n 6 lbs. spring , Double diamond 3.5 Connector and trigger pull so much lighter makes each shot a bulls eye.
Dosen't wear trigger finger out so shooting lasts longer and She likes it to for her easyer to aim find she is shooting as good as you.

Wow!!! I should have done this long ago. I’m a pretty good shot. But I’ve been struggling since I got my 19, tried a lot of things, brain based targets. Saw the tungsten guide rods, ordered a 15 lb. because I have trouble pulling the slide as I get older. Well today I was ringing the steel at 25 yards no problem!! Actually putting them where I wanted. I can’t stop grinning! Thank you Glock. Today I also ordered the 18 lb. rod. Gotta experiment. And in the meantime I will put on my new TFO sights.

I got the 17 pound spring for my Glock 17 Gen 3 and I have put about 1000 rounds through it with this guide rod and it is working absolutely amazing. My groups have gotten tighter and I am able to shoot more efficiently at a increased speed. I know some people don’t want to spend the extra $60 on a part that seems so simple but believe me it will be the best $60 you ever spend for a relatively cheap clock upgrade.

Super easy to install, feels way more sturdy than the OEM plastic guide rod. Put 200 rounds on it at the range with no problems. This should be one of the first upgrades to any Glock.

First I ordered the 11# spring and it wouldn't shut the action properly. I ordered the 17# spring next which is just a pound lighter than the factory Gen 3 and what a difference it made! Quick acquisition and improved recoil allowed for improved speed and accuracy. I'm sure there is a median, but honestly it's more important to me that I have no malfunctions which are detrimental to speed. The weight of the tungsten makes it feel like a different gun.

It's everything they say it is. The captured spring makes it a cinch to install. I have arthritis in my elbows so being able to select a suitable spring was a priority for me. I put the 17 lb spring and tungsten rod in my 21SF, very pleased with results and it's reassuring to know a lighter version is available if I need it someday. I put a couple magazines through it and the guide rod does indeed make it a bit faster to get sights back on target.
