GS Extended Precision Slide Lock for Gen 5 Glocks

I originally intended this part for my takedown because I'm a medium size man with big man's hands this new takedown really does make a difference makes it soo much easier to takedown and as far for the accuracy of my pistol I have not shot it just yet but just by racking the side it does feel slightly more pinned to the frame I would say this adds a good 10% more accuracy to your glock but hey every little bit counts and I've already got other performance parts for my glock like compensated barrel and steel guide rod this just adds more yes I like it and I would recommend it

Now this is what a slide lock should feel like. Does not protrude too far out, but the serrations are a 1000 times easier to lock onto making take down of the weapon faster and smoother. Took a little long to get here but totally worth the wait. I will be ordering one for every Glock I have and every one I intend to build or buy in the future.

I love it. It took me a minute to figure out how to get the old one out of my gen 5 but once I did it took 5 minutes to install. Worth the $ for sure. You won’t be disappointed.

This is a no brained, I am 65 and have Neuropathy In my hand and my hand strength is getting weaker, this make its so easy now, I highly recommend this, it’s effortless to break it down now.

The left side of the piece was thicker and was too tight to move. I had to take an x-acto knife to shave the opening on my lower larger in order to use this product. After searching the floor for an hour, I found the spring and was able to install it without and problem. It functions fantastically and if the #1 part that should be upgraded on all Glocks.

This extended slide lock is just perfect. Just a bit longer on each side and textured so that it's easy to grab, yet not too obtrusive to get in the way. It's perfect. Every Glock should come from the factory with this.

Already have the Extended Slice Lock on my G 19-4 and 34-4. My fingers really appreciate this part when disassembling the Glock.

Absolutely awesome, fantastic upgrade to my Glock 19 Gen 5. This is a must have, necessary compliment to disassemble the weapon/tool. High quality material, perfectly machined, beautifully constructed, essential part. Definitely increase accuracy, on target.
I purchased another extended takedown slide lock from different vendor, which had an angle cut, poor design & the paint chip off immediately upon install, pitiful.
The GS design is far superior, & worth every penny. Totally Satisfied, Highly Recommend Upgrade.

Pretty Fast Shipping (3 days) for me Living in KY thats like 2,000 miles, I'm very impressed how the Black Slide Lock i ordered matches the same Color as my Gen 5 G17 part it's Matte Black and not glossy, So far i Love the Piece and that its CNC machined, Not stamped steel. Now i can easily Field Strip my Glock anytime im shooting and do a Quick Clean and Lube without messing my fingers and nails up!

I had problems taking down my Gen 5, never had trouble with the Gen 2. I installed this part (in gold) and haven't had a problem since. The slight increase in length makes a big difference.

Very well made but I wouldn’t necessarily call these “extended” more like “more aggressive”. I have extended slide locks on all my other Glocks not Gen 5 and those are definitely extended.

I just installed a black extended slide lock on my Gen 5 / 19. Works perfect and I checked the length with a caliper and it is a tiny bit longer and aggressive. It really improves the cleaning process. It is worth the cost and saves the tips of my fingers.

Wow what a difference ! this product is perfect, this is how the stock component should be.

Love these slide locks but do be careful though about what types of holsters you use with them. A lot of stock Kydex or hard type holsters are too tight for these extended locks. So they scrape inside the holster. I had to ditch 2 of holsters as they were scraping inside.

All that aside, still a great product!!

sure makes removing the slide much easier. the spring can be a little tricky getting it down enough to pass the new lock through. improved accuracy? maybe just a bit but my old one was not warped at all. well worth the $20

Works as designed. Easier use with sligh extension allowing that extra bit to grab.

Thanks to the GS for recognizing flaws in the Gen 5 Glocks. The stock takedown on Glocks suck, this makes is much easier to field strip my Glock 45.

What a game changer. It could take me ten minutes trying to break this gun down on my newest Gen 5 Glock……never an issue with my other Glocks. But this silly little part makes a world of difference…..quick and easy now.

What a great upgrade for my Gen5. I had a difficult time getting a good hold before but it works perfectly. Simple install, took less than 10 minutes.

Made it a lot easier to remove the slide for field strip or cleaning.

It definitely made a world of difference with the removal of slide. I would highly recommend these for whatever Glock you have. I have them on all four of my Glocks, 43x, 19gen5, 45, and 19C gen4. Kudos.

Wow, what a difference this slide lock makes. I had problems taking down my G45 (5) and replaced the factory slide stop with this one. Problem solved! It is a cinch now to get the slide off. Thanks GS!

I have trouble taking down all my Glocks because I've cut half of my right thumb off. I've installed these extended slide locks on both my 19 and 43. The small extension makes all the difference. I can take them down with ease. Would recommend for anyone.
