Tungsten Guide Rod for Glock Gen5

I just got this got this for my Glock 19 X I'm going to tell you the truth it's the best guid Rod I have ever gotten works great feels great the gun shoots great it's absolutely unbelievable definitely definitely worth the price

I bought the black tip one for my G19X, and it works perfectly. The recoil spring is same as factory one, but the weight of guide rod is much heavier than that. I can feel difference but not much. I don’t feel accuracy increased, but the spring is really smoother than before, so, I’ll recommend this and buy another one if I got a G19 Gen 5. Really good quality made, 5 star aftermarket guide rod.

I just got my second tungsten guide rod today on a Sunday very fast shipping. my first one was for my Glock 19 gen 5 really loved it so had too get one for my Glock 26 gen 5

Instantly felt and see the difference. Ran about 200 rounds every 4 mags swapping, can absolutely see the improvement with TGR over stock. Way more rounds since and still working. G19 9mm.

Wanted to upgrade from the factory plastic guide rod and I opted for this one. Previously, my groups were holding at about 3" at 15yds, immediately after install, the groups were down to about 1-1/2" Seems like it reduces the "felt" recoil as well.

Just received my (Black) Super Heavy Tungsten Guide Rod Via FedEx today in the mail for my Glock 19 Gen 5 and let me tell you. The feel of it? HEAVIER, feels INDESTRUCTABLE, COMPLETELY ALL METAL PARTS. And when I rack the slide it doesn’t feel shaky or loose like the factory guide rod did, with the Tungsten Guide Rod it racks back smoothly and snaps back in a hurry. Not to mention the look is a lot better looking than the factory. Spent a total of 92$ on this upgrade and I couldn’t be happier! Going to the range this Saturday to finally see how it does but overall so far.. best and FIRST upgrade you should make to ANY Glock model. Got my guide rods today. One for my G17 and G19. Both are gen 5's. They really do what they are suppose to do. My G17 was the first gun I shot and loaded the magazine and racked it. My gun wouldn't shoot so I was a little worried. Luckily I was at the range where I bought it and the gunsmith was there and I had him check it out and he racked it a no fire then he racked it hard the second time and boom. He told me to rack it hard till it was broke in. I fired 100 rounds and after that no problems. My G19 after 25 rounds it worked perfectly. Less recoil and less barrel flip. Definitely worth the money!

Got one for my Glock 45, and used it today for the first time. Not completely sure if it’s just in my head, but I really feel like this guide rod has helped me tighten up my groups, and shoot accurately faster. I really like it and would recommend it to anyone that wants to improve their shooting.

Why there are no info if after 5000 rounds you can still use the Guide Rod by changing just the springs?If you need to spend $89.99 every 5000 rounds for it it seems to change it every 2 months or so. In this case not worth it.

Regarding the Tungsten Guide Rod its heavy and rock solid.

Fit and finish are great, 17lb spring weight is great with 124 or 147 gr out of my G45. Felt recoil is definitely less, making follow up shots quicker. Excellent product.

I bought my first GS Tungsten guide rod for a Gen 3 G19 P80 build I was doing and didnt actually realize how awesome the quality really was. I've since bought 5 Gen 3 tungsten guide rods as well as a Gen 5 tungsten guide rod from the GS and really nothing else comes close in comparing to the quality and smoothness of slide, ESPECIALLY my Gen 5 TGR... FAAKKK. I've bought Agency arms stainless guide rods and they have the cheese grader sound and feel, where the GS guide rods are quiet and smooth. Totally worth the money and I'll be putting em in all my Glocks from here on out.

Makes a profound difference in the feel and accuracy of my G19g5. This is by far the best upgrade I have made to the gun and worth every penny. I will do this to every Glock I own.

This was the best upgrade I have made to my Glock 19 Gen5. Shoots better, less bounce in the nose, quicker return to target.

I ordered mine in 2019 and using it in my 19X now for over a year, I feel I can give a fair and honest review. Far superior to stock, period. My biggest noticeable added Benefit is single handed snap shots. Fast deliberate double taps are tight, holding hands tight in a very high percentage. This in itself is a reason alone to purchase. But, opinions will vary. I can honestly say this one component upgrade has added tremendous value added skill gains to my off hand shots. Highly recommended

Quality is second to none. Compared to factory there is no comparison. The finish is beautiful and I find that inserting the guide rod is much easier and smoother than factory. I purchased the silver tip and would prefer it be shinier. That being said it's not plastic and gives that superfly jewelry look to my glock. I noticed that the recoil feels much smoother and after shooting 250 rounds I felt less fatigued in my hands. I highly recommend for the increase in quality over factory alone.

I purchased a new Gen 5 Glock 17 2nd week of August 2021. Ran 150 rounds 100% factory parts. Went to glockstore.com, then Ordered the Gen 5 Tungsten "Captured " guide rod. Received it within 5 days. Went to range today, 9-06-21 ( Labor Day). It was a Labor of Love running 200 rounds with new rod. Recoil, recovery, & accuracy greatly improved 👍 Now I think a better connector is next purchase.

Ordered the guide rod for my G17. Easy to install took less that a minute. Arrived quick. Easier to pull back on the slide. Looking to do all the suggested upgrades eventually. Video was helpful.

The guide rod is well built, works as it should and I’ve had zero issues after 800 rounds. My only complain is the color. The gold color does not match the other gold components. It only matches the mag base plate, slide back cover, and the mag release. The color looks more bronze than gold and it’s a mate color.

Just installed the Tungsten Guide Rod and took to the range with my G 17, Gen 5. I can’t believe the difference, almost no PopUp. Easier to hold on target with rapid firing.

Great guide rod. Really liked the way it made my G17 gen5 shoot. I did notice a difference in groupings, or maybe it was more trips to the range.LOL.

My only complaint is a chip of color came off the end piece already. I got a red guide rod and it looked good in the gun, but now with a chip in it, not so much.
I’m giving it four stars because of chip after only 100 rds. ?
